Actually kovalam is a combination of three beaches. Stony, sandy and a calm bay of blue water take away your blues as you spend your day in Kovalam beach.

Alappuzha Beach:

This is known as the natural wonderland of Kerala. Ornamented with nature’s green beauties such as vast lakes, fresh water rivers and lagoons, Alappuzha is spectacular. There are quite a few entertainment facilities available in the beaches of Alappuzha which add more fun. It should mention here that the pier which extends into the sea here is about 140 years old.

Varkala Beach:

Varkala beach is located at a distance of 54 Km from Thiruvananthapuram. This stunning beach is an ideal holiday destination frequented by foreigners. The cool serene atmosphere of this beach is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Varkala is also known for its amazing landscape of high rocky cliff ending up abruptly.
