Tamworth in New South Wales is popularly known as the country music capital of Australia and come January and you will see more than 50,000 visitors coming in from all around the world to attend the famous Tamworth Country Music Festival, which is the second biggest country music festival in the world. This city is also known to be the National Equine Capital of Australia because of the large number of equine events that are held here. The Telstra Country Music Festival, Tamworth
This event has to be one of the main attractions of Tamworth, with over 800 artists making up acts of over 2500 at 1200 different venues. It is the home of the Golden Guitars which are equivalent to the Academy Awards of Country Music. You can check out the 12m tall Golden Guitar and the 20 different icons at the wax museum. Another attraction is the Busker Boulevard where you can visit the archives bronze bust, song maker tributes and check out the Hands of Fame.
